Career Fair!

Spring is near and the Career Fair for Herndon Career Center and local area High School seniors, sponsored by Herndon and LINC occurred from 8 AM to 4 PM March 10, 2008.
Participation was brisk and busy. The activity was conducted at the First Baptist Church of Raytown.
Employers set up recruiting tables on the floor of the gymnasium, and some employers gave informational presentations in the Atrium.
Colleges set up informational presentations in the gymnasium as students investigated employment opportunities and colleges.
Students came armed with resumes and interest. The photos tell the story.

I went to that job fair, it was pretty nice, I got some job apps and (believe it or not) a small bottle of Gates BBQ sauce. It was worth it.

What a great partnership - HCC and LINC! What a great turnout of employers and students! Can’t wait til next year.

The career fair was fun. However i suggest getting an ample amount of each avalible subject. I know as an ADART student I was disapointed that there were not many who knew or cared to share about their grafic’s departments. Out of all that showed up I felt rather left out. I would have enjoyed the chance to speak with more experienced people on the subject matter.
